You’re probably wondering, is Salah out of the World Cup 2018?

According to the player, his shoulder problems have only seemed to have worsened in the Champions League final.

As a result of the recurring shoulder pain problems, Mohamed Salah will be out of action for two months after the saddening defeat against Real Madrid on Saturday 26th May 2018.

During the game on Saturday Salah was substituted after 30 minutes when he was tackled by Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and landed heavily on his shoulder.

Gareth Bale came off the bench to steal the headlines with a game-changing overhead kick after Sadio Mane canceled out Karim Benzema's opener – Reds goalkeeper Loris Karius culpable for the latter as he was Bale's second seven minutes from time in a 3-1 Madrid victory.

Klopp Says Salah Will Miss Out On World Cup 2018

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in a post-match interview told football fans that he feared Salah won’t recover for the World Cup 2018 games which will kick off on the 14th of June in Moscow, Russia.

However, contrary to Klopp’s fears, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) stated that they were ‘optimistic’ that the Premier League Golden Boot winner will be in good shape for their first Group A opening game against Uruguay.

However, shortly after the Champion’s League final on Saturday, Al-Sheikh posted that -

"With great sadness, sadly our great Arab star Mohamed Salah was confirmed in his absence [of] two months to injury, which means that he will miss the World Cup," he said. "We wish him a speedy recovery".

"I think that Liverpool will not allow Salah to take the cortisone because it is dangerous for the player in the long term and will press hard to complete the treatment for two months, which unfortunately means that we will not see the star Mohamed Salah in the World Cup."

This will come as a hard hit to Egypt and they will quickly have to restructure the team without Salah’s input if this is the case.

However, nothing is 100% confirmed as yet and we will wait 3 weeks to see if Salah will make it to Russia 2018.

The footballer is optimistic that he will make it in time for the World Cup 2018, however, he will have the best care around - he will not be allowed to train for the next 2 weeks.

Egypt is in Group A for the World Cup and in the group, Russia is the team to beat.

Do you think Egypt stand a chance if Salah is out of the World Cup 2018?
